The Sensor fusion laboratory in the Department of Systems Engineering and Operations Research of The Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering is actively involved in, research, education and academic activities in the area of sensor data fusion.

The research of this lab primarily focuses on multi-sensor data fusion, situation assessment, multiple target tracking, Bayesian networks modeling and inference, distributed data fusion,ad-hoc sensor networks, and artificial neural networks technologies.

Some of the recent research projects are:

  • Image-based Tracking and Sensor Resource Management for UAV's.
  • Information Genealogy in Distributed Fusion.
  • Fusion Performance Modeling in Sensor Networks.
  • Predictive situation awareness with probabilistic ontologies.
  • Collaborative Decision Processing for Dynamic Spectrum Access in Programmable Wireless Networks
